How old is my 5 year old really?

So Hailey doesn't usually tell me about her day and I'm pretty used to it by now. Today was different she very chatty today and she was telling be about a boy named Derrick. Derrick is in the other K class at her school and he rides her bus. Apparantly her and Derrick got in some sort of fight today and Derrick decided he wasn't Hailey's friend anymore. Hailey said that Derrick saw it made her sad so he fixed it, and they hugged. (OMG my baby is hugging boys!)


As she said they hugged she blushed....(uh oh i thought). So she starts coloring a picture and then makes an envelope and then she asks me "how do you spell Derrick mommy?" and she wrote To Derrick From Hailey....then she drew a heart. I was shocked! She hearts a boy? She can't heart a boy? But she did, she hearts a boy. She tucked her letter in her backpack, she even double checked it was there before she went to bed and she said she's going to give it to him on the bus tomorrow. Maybe I'll take her to school tomorrow...
