Hailey had another mile stone on Friday.....I had a voice mail from her school so I was expecting to hear a message from the school nurse. Imagine my surprise when it was her principle asking me to call him back to discuss Hailey's behavior that morning. I could tell by his tone that he wasn't calling to tell me that my child had saved some other child's life or stopped someone from being hit by a bus. Hailey was in trouble. When I called him back I was told that Hailey had been in a snow ball fight with a group of kids and another Kindergartner was in the nurses office cause he had been hit in the eye. He said that Hailey said it wasn't her snow ball but that wasn't the point. Then he went on to say that Hailey was being disruptive on the school bus. Not staying in her seat and yelling, and would I please have a conversation with her about school behavior. I was sure he was talking about some one else's kid! Of course I said we would talk with her. When I got home she still insists it wasn't her snow ball that hurt the other boy. She was very sad that he was hurt, but it wasn't her she says. So we didn't get to go to movie night the school was having on Friday night, that was her punishment (and my reprieve from having to go)
So my baby girl is growing up...hopefully this is the last of our visits to the principles office....some how I doubt that!!!

And so it begins, they will try you in so many ways, my advice, try to keep your sense of humor, but you can't show it to them.
