We went to Courde'lane Idaho for the 4Th of July weekend. We were walking along downtown by the lake and we saw the para sailing boat. I asked Hailey if she wanted to go and she wasn't to thrilled w/the idea. So I gave her the choice; go para sailing with me or go get a tattoo. (I know this really could have backfired) She quickly decided on para sailing so we decided we would do it later in the weekend. When we were in Spokane, there was a little fair going on and there was a henna tattoo place, she decided she wanted that instead of para sailing. I had to convince her that wasn't a real tattoo, that if she wanted one we would find a place. I'm not sure if she believed me, but we talked a lot about whether they would let a kid get a tat, and how much they hurt.....I really thought I was not going to get to go para sailing!. Anyway the last day we are there, I tell her we have an appointment at 5pm. she says she doesn't want to go, so Grandma Connie steps in and is going to go, she also said she would get a tat with Hailey when she got hers....
So mom and I are leaving to go para sailing and Hailey decides she's gonna go. WOW!!! We get there, get on the boat. She watches the first 2 groups go, as the second group is going she starts crying and doesn't want to go. I am convinced I'm going by myself, but they guys that are running this ship help talk her into it. They promise to bring her in if she hates it and they won't make her go high unless she wants to. She's almost convinced and I finally get her to go by promising her McDonald's when we land. McD's was the key, as soon as I said that she was ready to go. She cried for about the first 30 seconds, then she had a blast! She wants to go again for her birthday. And luckily I don't have to explain to her dad why she got a tattoo!
